Bruny Island Cruises

Bushwalk
Experience 6km bush walk at Fluted Cape Trail In Adventure Bay, 20 minutes drive from Mandala, the fluted cape circuit takes 3 hour return walk taking in crystal blue wa- ters, exceptional coastal cliffs and abundant wildlife. The trail is steep in sections with some substantial climbing required to reach The Fluted Cape summit at 272m.
For a longer walking track, The Cape Queen Elizabeth is the place. It’s great day walk of 12 km return. Offering different landscapes to discover and explore, stunning beach- es, unique rock formations and many more. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes, hat, apply sunscreen bring a bottle of water, snacks and your smartphone/ camera.

Cape Bruny Lighthouse
It’s an inactive lighthouse located in the South Bruny National Park, about (26.4 km) 35-40 minutes drive from Mandala. (Cape Bruny Lighthouse is the second oldest extant lighthouse tower in Australia. A setting that features an amazing landscape overseeing the imposing sea cliffs, experience the 360° view of the day and the magic sunset. No need to pre-book the lighthouse tour.
Fishing
Bruny Island offers great fishing spots for Tasmanian local Salmon, squid, flat head and all Tasmanian’s fish. Closest at Alonnah jetty or drive another 10 minutes to Lunawanna jetty, more to Adventure Bay jetty.
Surfing
For surfing enthusiast, Bruny Island is a great place to explore surf. The Neck, Coal Point, The Cape Light House Beach, Cloudy Bay and Lagoon.
The Neck Lookout/ Truganini Lookout & Penguin Watching
A must visit in Bruny Island, the neck has breathtaking views of the middle of Bruny isthmus after walking up a series of steps, sometimes you will see those little penguins foot prints in the morning. Best to visit is in a nice clear day or after sunset for penguin watching. There is a penguin lookout point near the beach. The beach on the neck is spectacular, clear blue water and great spot for an easy walk.
